Welcome aboard the USS Relentless NCC 75001!

"A stranger is a friend you just haven't met yet." -- Captain Kathryn Janeway
Welcome to the USS Relentless under command of Captain Emily Woodhouse. Stationed Theta Fleet the USS Relentless has many wonderful and exciting missions ahead. The Relentless is a Star trek simm and is set after the events of "Star Trek Nemesis" and after huge events such as the "Dominion War" and after the return of the USS Voyager from the Delta Quadrent.
The USS Relentless is a PG-13 Star trek Simulation, this means that nobody under the age of thirteen years can join this ship.

Hey all crew.
Time for another mission update.
So far we've discovered that we're basically running around in circles and we're all more or less looking like children. We're going to drop navigation beacons around the nebula to try and triagulate our position and get out of there. Since we don't have a heml officer I can deal with this along with Commander Woodhouse out guest.
The lifeform that is in the computer system will be messing with our navigational controls. Science, Operations and Engineering will have to deal with it. The best way to get it out is to convince it to leave the ship or try and outsmart it.
Also since we're all gettign younger I think that it should be caused by a form of Metaphasic Radiation from the lifeform and nebula as seen in Star Trek Insurrection. However this type of radiation does not revert once we leave the nebula, this is vital to the next mission. Medical can be working on this with Intelligence since the Ba'Ku event will likely be locked up in Federation Intelligence to prevent Starfleet looking bad yada yada yada.
Eventually I would like the radiation to start affecting our behaviour. But not dramastically, so start being a mixture of adults and children. For example try something in an adult fashion and then if it goes wrong throw a tantrum over it! Have soem fun with this and have a laugh! I suppose this would be a good job for Security incase someone starts a food fight in the mess hall.
I would like to have this mission wrapped up by early March so lets get to work at getting this ship out of the nebula and on the way to the next mission. So lets get to work people and lets try and find out how to get out of this nebula.
Oh and one more thing. You are all authorised to do some childish things. So replicate a teddy bear before going to bed, refuse to eat vegetables and insist on colouring with crayons on the walls. Have some fun and lets get this mission going. I want to see some good solo and joint posts!
Lets get going!

» A Relentless Christmas!

The time is here girls and boys! It's December 1st and I've put up a special mini-mission just for this festive season. "A Relentless Christmas" is if you want to do some festive writing to get you into the Christmas Mood and getting the spirit on the ship. for Christmas the Relentless will be returning to Earth, so in the mini-mission we'll be in orbit so everyone can be with friends and family in character.
This has no mission structure, its just simply to enjoy yourself and a little Christmas Gift from your captain! Remember to still work on the "Young Un's" mission, but by all means enjoy yourself for the next month. I hope you all have a good, festive and safe December, especially those with snow fall!
In this mission I would also like some humour, so I thought you could all give your character a "Christmas Position", for example Emily will be "Santa's Head Elf", just a little fun and something different! Feel free to let your imagination loose, and be warned, Jade likes her presents on Christmas Morning!

Young Un's - Mission Update
Okay guys so this is whats happening currently.
1. We have taken on crew at Typhon and the new crew has come aboard. Any posts that are on Earth or Typhon need posting within the next 24 hours please as we will be moving on.
2. The senior staff breifing will be finished and posted tommorow so to keep in with the flow of the timeline.
3. "Swirly Purple Stuff" is where we take aboard and enter the nebula. This is where it all seems fine. After a frew hours in the nebula we will start to feel a little different and then see minor technical functions. The background story is that the Nebula is home to lifeforms that we can't detect which are in our systems trying to communicate, but we don't know that yet.
4. After a day we'll wake up to go on duty looking younger byt a few years. So this is going to be a medical mystery. Medical and Science you're going to work together on this cause. We'll try and get out of the nebula by dropping a beacon but the aliens are messing with our navigational systems and we're going around in circles. This'll be another task for Ops, Engineering and Intelligence.
When we reach the point where we are getting younger and lost in the nebula I'll bring out a new Mission Update. We will be in this nebula de-aging for around a week in character. Everyone will be affected apart from the children (Under the age of 18) as it doesn't affect them until they are mature. So I would like to see some solo-posts and personal logs on your characters getting younger and how they feel etc etc. This could influence some good character development.
Lets get crackin'

18th November 2011
For all those who don't know what BBC Children In Need is, its one of the biggest fundraising events in the United Kingdom and in the world. Totally reliant on donations from the public BBC Children In Need help children and families across the country with all sorts of life. From these donations we help the children who are less fortunate than all of us and help them have a healthy, happy life and upbringing.
Tonight it is airing on BBC One across the world from 7:30PM (GMT) up until the early hours of the morning. Everyone in the UK has been putting their hands in their pockets to help those children who need us the most. So as captain of this ship and a childcare practitioner who works with children I come forward to you as crew and friends to help donate to this memorable and fantastic cause.
Children In Need do everything from providing breakfast for the children in deprived areas, to providing money to buy specialist equipment for the children in hospital or with rare conditions and diseases. I believe that no child should be left behind and I always donate to this cause, it really makes a difference. Please if you can, donate something for them, not for me, not for the ship, but for those children who will benefit from your kindness.
